The new engines make both the VWs eligible for chief Indian metros

The new VW Passat’s 1.8 L TSI makes 160PS and 250Nm, and is coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Passat is priced at Rs 19.20 lakhs, ex showroom New Delhi.

The Jetta’s 2.0 L diesel Comfortline is priced at Rs. 15.92 lakhs, ex showroom, New Delhi. It uses a 2.0-liter common rail diesel engine that makes 110PS and 250Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission.

VW Passat Embassy and R-Line launched in France

French Volkswagen Passat owners can now have the option of two special packs offered by Volkswagen – Embassy Passat and R-Line. While the ‘Embassy’ is aimed at those who seek luxury, the ‘R-Line’ would appeal mostly to the sporty types.

At first glance this car looks an awful lot like a next-gen Jetta both in shape and size, but the piece of paper on the windshield reads “VW 411 NMS” – which means, this is a ‘Test Mule*’ for VW’s NMS (New Midsize Sedan) development. This supplements Volkswagen’s recent announcement that will build a new mid-size sedan(NMS). In fact, this is the very first Test mule photographed. This car is intended to go head-to-head against the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.

Revealed – Facelifted Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai has just revealed pictures of the new face-lifted version of their luxury sedan – Sonata, which is expected to go on sale by the end of this year or the start of next year.
