First Sketch of Volkswagen NMS (New Mid-Size Sedan)

American television station WRCB has managed to get hold of a sketches lying around on Volkswagen NMS designer’s desk. Seen before in the form of a test mule, the NMS (temporarily called the New Mid-size Sedan) will be a car built for America at America (VW’s new plant at Tennessee, Chattanooga) and by the radical looks of this sketch, is obviously designed by an American as well.

At first glance this car looks an awful lot like a next-gen Jetta both in shape and size, but the piece of paper on the windshield reads “VW 411 NMS” – which means, this is a ‘Test Mule*’ for VW’s NMS (New Midsize Sedan) development. This supplements Volkswagen’s recent announcement that will build a new mid-size sedan(NMS). In fact, this is the very first Test mule photographed. This car is intended to go head-to-head against the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.
