The 2010 Mercedes Benz S-Class S400 Hybrid is the first ever mass-production model twinning L-Ion batteries and a gasoline engine. It gives rise to flabbergasting numbers- 7.9L/100km and emits just 186 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
Just because it is fuel efficient, don’t be fooled into thinking its a steam engine train. The 2010 Mercedes Benz S400 Hybrid uses a 3.5-liter petrol engine produces 205 kW (279 hp) and an electric motor that gives out 15 kW (20 hp).
