There is no official word on the 2011 Teana for Indian market but we’re told that the model you see here could be assembled at the Oragadam facility in Chennai by the end of next year. Following the Teana, the facelifted X-Trail would also be assembled, bringing down their price tag to sub 20 lakh levels thanks to lower excise duties.

For 2011, Nissan has made minor changes to Teana’s grille and bumper. The border thickness of the grille is fatter. The fog light design has been changed and at the back, tail lamps get a generous dose of LEDs. The alloy wheel now has additional spokes.

Meanwhile inside the cabin, minor changes to the central console comes in the form of new dials.

The new Teana should go on sale in China by the end of this year.

After bring us the new Micra and the Sunny sedan, the Chinese have now got us a new scoop on the Nissan Teana facelift. The new car sports minor changes to the front with much sharper and angular headlamps along with xenon projectors. The car also has newly designed alloys and new tail lights with LED lining.

Since these are spy pics, we do not have any information on the engine specs. But one can see from the pics that the tail sports a new ‘Pure Drive’ badge. So some things have been changed for sure. The latest generation Teana was launched in India last year.

The Teana is not really a seller in the Indian market because it is just too over priced, thanks to the duties levied on the CBU. But Nissan should assemble the Teana in their new Chennai facility next year, once that can handle the production; a point at which we can expect a drastic drop in the prices.

TEANA is the first in its class to feature a stylish glass roof, extending the open, airy feeling of the interior to the rear-seat area.

Defined by its bold yet elegant character line, which forms a sweeping arc extending from the front to the rear of the vehicle, TEANA’s new, meticulously executed exterior design presents a modern, artistic form.
