Here’s one official image of the Hyundai Accent facelift, posted by Siddharth Vinayak Patankar on the NDTV Car&Bike Show page.
Hyundai hasn’t issued a press release on the introduction of the new model and hasn’t yet updated the Accent’ official webpage. We understand that there are no changes under the hood or to the Accent’s interiors.
Hyundai doesn’t have a modern Etios, Manza or Dzire competitor. It has to make do with the Accent by giving it mild makeovers until something is ready. Hyundai has no interest in discontinuing the Accent, and we predict this model will run for another three years until a replacement arrives.

There’s nothing to talk about except for the i10 inspired radiator grille and a chrome strip running across the doors on the Hyundai Accent facelift.
Though much of the car is left untouched, the facelift feels like a tacky after-market job. The Accent’s sales, despite being offered with a petrol engine, is commendable for a 10+ year old model. Interiors and technical specifications stay the same.

The all-new Hyundai Accent is yet another Hyundai product after new Sonata and Tucson that carries the company’s new design language which is gaining rapid acceptance.
The forth-coming Hyundai Accent/Verna (Code: RB) incorporates Hyundai’s “Fluidic Sculpture” design format and blends design languages of the new Sonata and the upcoming Elantra.
According to reports on other blogs, the new Hyundai Accent will go on sale in 2010, so the Indian debut should not be very far away. What is certain is the range of engines on the all-new Accent, which is going to be wide. The regular CRDi engines and larger displacement 4 pot petrols will give company to the new Verna but the most talked about engine is the 1.6 GDi which reportedly sends out 140hp to the front wheels.
There are also talks of a hybrid-electric version but that is irrelevant to the Indian customer. We’ll keep an eye out on the RB. Stay tuned to IAB.

It has not been even a month since Hyundai launched its i20 hatch in India and now the company plans to launch its i30 and Avante (new Elantra) soon in Indian in what we call a launching spree!
The i30 which was first launched at the Tokyo Motor Show for the Japanese market, is now being considered for an Indian debut because of the tremendous response towards the recently launched i20.
Cheap car news/News for those who bargain at car showrooms! The battle for the coveted title of ‘Least Expensive car in USA’ has finally reached climax! Hyundai Accent/Verna has emerged triumphant and retains Crown, after fighting a bitter battle with Nissan earlier this month, when Nissan claimed that its new $9,990 Versa Sedan 1.6 is the cheapest car in the U.S. However, the title was gained by forgoing the necessary features every car should have including a stereo and an air conditioning system. Today, Hyundai claims that its new 2009 Hyundai Accent with a starting price of $9,970 is the least expensive car in the U.S. That’s a very ‘cheap’ title indeed!
