Powering the Hero XPulse 200 BS6 is a 199 cc single-cylinder engine which packs itself with an oil-cooled setup as the replacement of the outgoing air-cooled model on the bS4 version. The upgraded engine is capable of generating 17.8 BHP of max power and 16.45 Nm of peak torque. A 5-speed gearbox is available.

It’s worth noting that the XPulse’s engine was designed and manufactured by Hero from the scratch. It shares no parts with other models of the company. Another highlight on the Hero XPulse’s engine is the fuel injection technology in India.
