Spied – Ferrari F450 with new diffuser

Now that the production of the F430 is over, Ferrari can fully focus on the replacement car, the Ferrari F450, which is expected to debut this fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The newest set of shots confirms the presence of a diffuser. The Ferrari F450 will be laid out on a wider track.

The F450 will make use of a modified F430′s chassis and body. Codenamed F142, the 4.5-liter V8 engine that produces 585 horsepower, which is more than the outgoing car. Power transfer is performed through the open-top California’s double-clutch gearbox.

The controversial Kinetic Energy Recovery System could be lifted from Ferrari’s Formula 1 pit garage for the F450, which is yet to be confirmed. The KERS system accumulates energy from the wheels during braking.

Rendering – Ferrari F450

We’ve already shown you a rendering of the Ferrari F450 before, if you did not know.

The Ferrari F430‘s production has been halted in Maranello to leave way to its successor, the F450, which is rendered here. The Ferrari F450 will have a marginally bigger 4.5-liter engine providing it with more power and torque ratings to compensate for the increase in length and track. This Ferrari unlike the California is performance-oriented one and a bit on the madder side. The production car will be shown at Frankfurt in September this year and might come with KERS technology borrowed from its F1 racing team.

Renderings – Ferrari F450

The Ferrari F450 will be shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year, but not before all the hype, renderings and speculations contribute heavily to the build-up.

The Ferrari F450 rendered here, replaces the aging F430, is bigger in dimension and carries a larger 4.5-liter engine good for 580bhp.

The Ferrari California shares similarities but is pitched at the customer who desires a calmer and more laid back transport which must dance only when necessary. The F450 is the flat opposite. The suspension will be stiffer as can be inferred, it’s more of a performance Ferrari unlike the California.

The F450 will also bear a lighter body essentially due to the nature of its construction which uses light weight recyclable material, inspired by the Mile Chile concept of 2007.

A 7-speed dual clutch mechanism is shared between this car and the California. Insiders say this is the most beautiful Ferrari of them all.

Hey, they always say that.

Ferrari F450 will debut at Frankfurt

Ferrari is in the process of replacing the iconic F430 which was the firm’s largest selling model by far with the all new F450. This will give the F430 a life of just 5 years, a period where it had earned a lot of applause for its performance and razor sharp handling but not as much for the way it looked.
