Good news for Toyota lovers. At some point in time, you have had the desire to own the Camry and probably settled for a Corolla. But you know what? Your next car could be the Camry.

Toyota India is seriously thinking about manufacturing it’s luxury sedan Camry here in India. This would bring down its price tag by atleast 4 lakhs as Toyota needn’t pay for the excise. The Camry range begins at 21-lakh and is fighting for the top spot in the D-Segment which has a market of 8,000 vehicles annually.

Toyota Refreshes Camry; Minor exterior and interior changes

The Japanese car giant Toyota, recently showcased its refreshed 2010 Camry at the Detroit Auto Show.

The differences compared to the existing Camry is not that much- a new bumper with bigger air intakes, more sharply designed headlamps and foglamps, 16-inch wheels and the grille receives more chrome work.

It was a perfect day for motorheads like me at the AUTO MALL 2009 sponsored by Relio Quick which was held for a duration of three days- 9, 10 and 11th Jan.

Brands like Skoda, Honda, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Nissan had put their respective cars on display and the big surprise was not a special participant, but the absence of one- India’s top car maker Maruti Suzuki!
