Audi Q3 Concept showcased at Barcelona Motor Show

The previewing concept of the Audi Q3 Cross Coupe was displayed today in Audi’s stall at the Barcelona Motor Show. It was accompanied by a ‘strange’ 5-cylinder engined 340Bhp, Audi TT RS.

As Audi mentioned earlier, the production version of the Q3 will be built in Barcelona at the VW Group’s Martorelli plant in 2011.

The Audi Q3 crossover is quoted by Audi as “A coupé-like five-door SUV with seat positions, wheel size, and ground clearance characteristic of a typical SUV”. Here are a few renderings to give you a taste of what they are talking about, and what one can expect at Audi’s stands in the 2009 Barcelona Motor Show.

The Q3 is said to borrow a huge chunk of design cues from the 2007’s Cross Coupe Quattro Concept.

A few hours ago, an announcement has arrived from Audi confirming its presence at the upcoming Barcelona Motor Show with a new Audi Q3 concept car. This new concept will be the foundation for the production car that’s scheduled for a Spanish production line in 2011.

Apart from this flagship display the Audi R8 V10, A4 Allroad and the facelifted Q7 will occupy the stall. The Barcelona Motor Show goes on from May 9 -17.
