Mitsubishi small car coming in 2010

Ahead of the Bajaj ULC launch, it appears like Japanese Automaker Mitsubishi will cook up a Tata Nano challenger. Mitsubishi, who came under the spot light in India after cars like the Lancer and Pajero, had earlier this year announced plans to board the low cost car territory in markets like India and China.

Mitsubishi will be able to develop this car in a short period of time as its underpinnings will be borrowed from the i-car, a sub compact which is sold in the Japanese market.

More Information surfaces on Fiat’s low cost brand

As we reported earlier, Fiat is planning on introducing a string of low-cost cars for Western Europe to cater to the budget-conscious car buyers.

Reports suggest that a total of 3 models are being worked on, out of which 2 will be developed by Fiat’s Brazilian subsidiary. The vehicles will use the Fiat Palio and Uno platforms.

Honda to develop entry level car below Jazz

So, we have always been expecting to see the Honda Jazz for quite a while now and its still not here in India. Honda has just announced plans to develop an all new small car especially for emerging markets like India.

This small car will be launched in two to three years time to meet demand in emerging economies, Chief Executive Takeo Fukui told a news conference on Wednesday. Expect the car to be shown as a concept in 2009-2010 and then enter production in end 2010-early 2011.

2010 Nissan Micra/March will be unveiled in Thailand

This news has ended possible speculation about the next-gen Nissan Micra/March that was supposed to be launched in India in 2009. Now, we get to know that the car will be launched at the Thailand World Premier between September 2009 - February 2010. This is some serious delay as the car was expected in mid 2009.

Mini Electric- Technically Explained

The BMW Group will be the world’s first manufacturer of premium automobiles to deploy a fleet of some 500 all-electric vehicles for private use in daily traffic. The MINI E will be powered by a 150 kW (204 hp) electric motor fed by a high-performance rechargeable lithium-ion battery, transferring its power to the front wheels via a single-stage helical gearbox nearly without a sound and entirely free of emissions.
