The Toyota Yaris was launched in India in April this year. It's available with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that outputs 108 PS and 140 Nm. Akin to its Thai-spec sibling, it offers seven airbags across all its trims. In India, the Toyota Yaris rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, and Hyundai Verna.

In July 2018, Toyota Kirloskar Motor sold 1,400 units of the Yaris. Cumulative sales stand at 7,747 units currently, and if there's no improvement going further, we don't expect a number as good as in Thailand when the sedan completes one year in our market.
