The 2018 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sport features a three-tone (white, blue & red) paint scheme with golden highlights to the wire spoke wheels and the front USD forks. The paint scheme pays tribute to the four-time Dakar Rally winning Honda XRV650 Africa Twin. The XRV650 Africa Twin celebrated its 30th anniversary last year. That said, the bookings for the 2018 Honda Africa Twin are open in India with deliveries already underway.

Apart from the tri-tone paint scheme, the 2018 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sport comes with aluminium panniers with saddle stays and a rear luggage rack. The motorcycle also features knuckle guards, fairing guard and a broader engine belly guard, along with fairing guard mounted auxiliary lights.

The 2018 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sport receives a larger fuel tank of 24.2 litres for a riding range of 500 km, and a taller windscreen. The Africa Twin Adventure Sport gets a ground clearance of 270 mm, up 20 mm, along with fully adjustable Showa cartridge-type USD front forks.

The Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sport sources power from a 998 cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, fuel injected engine that is capable of producing 95 PS of maximum power at 7,500 rpm while generating a peak torque of 99 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine pairs to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The Adventure Sport is available with a manual as well as DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) gearbox.

The Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sport has a kerb weight of 243 kg for the manual variant and 253 kilograms of the DCT variant. The standard version of the Honda Africa Twin weighs 2 kg less, with a modified airbox, which provides improved mid-range response along with a lighter balancer shaft weight. The Honda Africa Twin rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels that are made from stainless steel, which run on 90/90 R21 front and 150/70 R18 rear tube-type knobby tires.
