India Yamaha Motor launched the Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally on 16 July, priced at INR 57,898 (ex-showroom Delhi). The scooter is available alongside the Yamaha Ray ZR, Fascino, Ray Z and the Yamaha Alpha.

Yamaha first showcased the Ray ZR Street Rally variant in India at the 2018 Auto Expo. However, the production model is slightly different from the show display. The production Ray ZR Street Rally comes with black alloy wheels and a white rear mono-shock.

The Ray ZR Street Rally is available in two paint schemes - Rally Red and Racing Blu. It features a new ‘Wing Style fairing’ that is inspired from the Yamaha MT-09. The fairing not only enhances the sporty aesthetics of the scooter but also serves as a wind deflector. The two-wheeler features winglets or ‘Knuckle Guard,’ which protects the handle grips from windblast, movable front fender, and a key secure grip system, and two-level raised seat.

Key features on the Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally include an all-digital instrument cluster and a roller rocker arm which reduces power loss in low-speed scenarios. Aesthetic upgrades come in the form of sporty new ‘Street Rally’ graphics on the front fairing and side panels.

Powering the Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally scooter is a 113 cc, single-cylinder, 2-valve SOHC engine with Blue Core technology that comes mated to a CVT transmission. The air-cooled engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 7.1 bhp at 7,500 rpm while developing a peak torque of 8.10 Nm at 5,000 rpm.
