Suzuki Motorcycle India is set to launch the Burgman Street maxi-scooter on 19 July. Ahead of its launch, the scooter has been previewed by YouTuber Motoblizzard.

The company has started dispatching the Suzuki Burgman Street to authorized dealerships across India. That said, the maxi-scooter debuted in the country at the Auto Expo 2018 in February. The company will position the Burgman Street as a flagship scooter, and it is likely to carry a premium of around INR 7,000 over the Access 125 and should cost in the vicinity of INR 75,000 (on the road) in India.

Suzuki dealerships have started bookings for the baby Burgman for a token amount of INR 5,000. The Suzuki Burgman range is internationally available with engine capacities between 125-640cc. However, the Suzuki Burgman Street is limited to the domestic market, similar to the Suzuki Intruder 150. The maxi-scooter shares its design cues with the flagship Burgman 650, which premiered in India at the Auto Expo 2018.

Key features on the Burgman Street include LED headlights, a tall windscreen, an all-digital instrument cluster, LED taillights, and an elongated seat. The scooter comes with utility features like a multi-function key slot, 12V Smartphone charging socket, and generous under-seat storage space. The Burgman gets 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels that use 90/90 R12 and 90/100 R10 tubeless tires respectively.

Powering the Suzuki Burgman Street is the 124.3 cc, single cylinder engine that propels the Access 125. The engine is capable of producing 8.4 bhp of maximum power 6,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 10.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm, mated to a CVT automatic transmission. The Burgman Street stops with the help of a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, while CBS (combined braking system) is standard. The two-wheeler features telescopic forks at the front and a rear mono-shock.
