Mitsubishi's latest MPV will reach Vietnam and Thailand as well. For now, its production takes place at the Bekasi plant in Indonesia.

The Xpander measures 4,475 mm in length, 1,750 mm in width and 1,695 mm/1,700 mm in height. It has a 2,775 mm wheelbase and a 200 mm/205 mm ground clearance. Folding both the second- and third-row seats of the three-row MPV gives a maximum cargo capacity of 1,630 litres.

Like in Indonesia, the Mitsubishi Xpander is available with only the 4A91 1.5L MIVEC petrol engine in the Philippines. The naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 105 PS at 6,000 rpm and 141 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic are the transmission choices.

The Mitsubishi Xpander has an SUV-inspired exterior design. Two-tier headlamps, chrome front grille with a clear smoke coating, 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels and L-shaped LED tail lamps are some of its main exterior features. Inside, the 7-seat MPV is equipped with a 2-DIN 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation, cruise control, 12-volt power outlets for passengers in all three rows, roof-mounted rear AC vents and a number of other convenience features.

Getting to the safety of the MPV, in addition to dual-front airbags and ABS with EBD, Mitsubishi offers Active Stability Control (ASC), Traction Control (TRC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA).
