The Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 has grabbed Prince Williams’ attention at the opening of Heads of Commonwealth Meeting 2018.
The Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 was displayed at the exhibition in the event. The Prince shared a conversation with Royal Enfield head honcho Siddhartha Lal about the company's British roots and Indian Soul at the event. The Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 along with the Continental GT 650 were unveiled at the 2017 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. The bike is scheduled to enter the UK market this month; followed by its Indian launch after the brand is ready to meet the demand in the home country.
The Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 has a laidback riding stance, with a retro-modern demeanour. Powering the motorcycle is a 648 cc parallel twin SOHC A2 license-compliant mill with air and oil cooling. It punches out 47 PS at 7,100 rpm and 52 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The engine works in tandem with a new 6-speed transmission with a slip-assist clutch. The 320 mm front and 240 mm rear disc feature Dual-channel ABS as standard. The motorcycle rides on a telescopic front fork, and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear.
