The camo colour enhances the rugged appeal of the adventure tourer.

However, the bike comes without accessories. Earlier, the 500 limited-unit Sleet Edition came with the Explorer Kit, which included two panniers, engine guard, braced handlebar, apart from the camo paint job. The Sleet Edition is sold out, but now the bike is available with just the paint job alone. The new colour commands a premium of INR 3,672 over the standard variant. But if the customer wants the Explorer Kit, he/she can reportedly purchase it at an additional cost of INR 31,900. The price is inclusive of charges for fitting the accessories. The Sleet colour variant reportedly costs INR 1.71 lakhs, ex-showroom.

The motorcycle is stock other than the new paint job and optional accessories. Powering the motorcycle is a single cylinder 411 cc SOHC mill. With fuel injection, the engine generates 24.5 bhp of power at 6,500 rpm, and 32 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm. A 5-speed transmission does duty in the motorcycle. The engine nestles inside a half-duplex split cradle frame. Compared to the standard variant, the limited-edition Sleet is approximately INR 28,000 more expensive, at INR 2,12,666, on-road, Chennai. The new sleet colour variant adds to the already-existing Snow and Granite colour options. Royal Enfield is yet to give an official statement regarding the development. The Himalayan's only rival at present is the Kawasaki Versys-X 300.
