YouTuber SuperIndian Vlogs has shared a video of the Royal Enfield Himalayan with the Explorer Kit. The Explorer Kit used to come as standard in the limited-edition Sleet, which was launched in January, this year.
We share this video for the purpose of informing readers about the motorcycle accessories. We request readers to follow local speed laws and wear seat belts, appropriate gear while operating a two/four wheeler.
The Explorer Kit for the Royal Enfield Himalayan consists of two water-resistant aluminium panniers of 26 litres each; pannier mounting brackets (which also relocates the rear indicators further back to avoid hitting the panniers); off-road style aluminium handlebar with cross brace for added strength, handlebar end weights for additional protection; and an engine guard with black powder coat finish.
The Explorer Kit is reportedly available at Royal Enfield stores at a price of INR 31,900. This kit enhances the touring capability of the motorcycle. Additionally, it was reported recently that the Sleet colour variant is now available, which is INR 3,672 more expensive than the standard colour. Apart from the kit, the bike is stock. Power comes from a single cylinder 411 cc SOHC mill with air and oil cooling. With fuel injection, the engine generates 24.5 bhp of power at 6,500 rpm, and 32 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm. A 5-speed transmission does duty in the motorcycle. The engine nestles inside a half-duplex split cradle frame. The Himalayan’s only other rival in the mid-capacity adventure segment is the Kawasaki Versys-X 300.
