In the UK, the brand sells the Himalayan with dual-channel ABS.

The website reports that the Classic and the Thunderbird range will get single-channel ABS. Unlike a single channel unit which works only on the front wheel, dual channel ABS functions for both the wheels. This ensures greater safety. The Royal Enfield 650 twins however are likely to feature dual-channel ABS. As per the media site, the price for the bikes with single-channel ABS will be INR 5,000 more than the non-ABS version. The Himalayan will reportedly witness a price hike between INR 10,000 to INR 12,000.

The Himalayan’s 411 cc single cylinder with air and oil cooling is good for 24.5 bhp at 6,500 rpm. Peak torque of 32 Nm kicks in at 4,250 rpm. The engine pairs with a 5-speed transmission.
