Dirt Machine Custom Motorcycles from Indore has created a retro-modern custom version of the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Desert Storm, called 'Combat, the war machine'.
This custom Royal Enfield Classic 500 gets a taste of modern performance-oriented technology, thanks to the inclusion of WP upside-down front forks; twin front disc brakes with red Bybre radial callipers. A twin-pod instrument cluster adorns the aftermarket LED headlamp. The KTM-derived handlebar gets black treatment, and the tank bears the bike’s new moniker. The side boxes also get the custom house’s branding. They have gotten rid of the rider seat springs, and it sits low.
The chopped rear fender hugs the massive 150-section Michelin Pilot Road 4 rubber; and the front end uses a 120-section unit. The wheels are shod on aluminium rims with 80-spokes. To house the fat rear wheel, they have employed a custom swingarm, and the rear features a disc brake as well. The rear twin gas-charged shock absorbers are stock, though. A sleek LED tail light sits below the seat, and the heat-wrapped bend pipe ends with an aftermarket exhaust. The motorcycle’s ground clearance is lower than normal bike, but the engine appears to be stock. In stock form, the 499 cc single makes 27.2 bhp at 5,250 rpm, and 41.3 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The mill mates with a 5-speed gearbox.
