Mitsubishi has delivered about 50% of the Mitsubishi Xpander orders so far.

The Mitsubishi Xpander is produced at the new Bekasi assembly plant in Indonesia. The planned annual production level of the MPV is 80,000 units. Around 5,000 units were produced per month initially, and from January, the number increased to 8,000 units. Until March 2018, Mitsubishi had 60,000 orders for it, and so far, it has delivered about 50% of the orders. This was revealed by Irwan Kuncoro, the Director of Sales & Marketing of the company’s local subsidiary.

75% of the planned annual production is to meet the domestic market, and the remaining is for exports. Exports for deliveries in ASEAN markets will commence later this month. The Philippines will receive the MPV first, in May, and then Thailand and Vietnam. Road testing in Thailand has already commenced. Mitsubishi plans to expand the new model’s footprint beyond ASEAN in the future.
