A walkaround video of the Toyota Yaris in the entry-level J grade has emerged on YouTube. Toyota announced prices of the Yaris earlier this week. In the J spec, the Yaris is priced at INR 8.75 lakhs for the manual and 9.95 lakhs (ex-showroom India) for the automatic variant.

As specified earlier and reiterated in the video, the base J spec Toyota Yaris features include -

- Audio system with 4 speakers
- Room lamp/map lamp
- Rear armrest with cupholder
- Power steering with tilt adjustment
- 7 airbags
- ABS with EBD and BA
- Central locking
It misses out on features like electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, smart entry, optitron Meter with TFT MID, auto AC, push-button start, steering audio controls, 7-inch AVN infotainment system, roof-mounted rear AC vents, parking sensors, front and rear fog lamps, speed sensing auto door lock, 15-inch alloy wheels, auto headlamps with Follow-Me Home function, rain sensing wipers, LED rear combination lamps with line guide, cruise control, and all wheel disc brakes.
Also missing from the equipment list are features like LED DRLs, paddle shifters, leather seats, 8-way power adjustment for driver’s seat, VSC, HAC, and TPMS. These are reserved for the top end VX grade.

The sole engine option on offer is a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine. It produces 109 PS and 140 Nm of torque. It pairs with a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission across all grades. No diesel variant is planned yet.
