Following the first look at the 2018 Ford Endeavour (2018 Ford Everest), IAB’s rendering artist Shoeb Kalania has created a rendering to preview the facelifted model’s design in near-production guise.
The 2018 Ford Endeavour features a new radiator grille, a silver frame for the lower grille and new 20-inch six-double-spoke alloy wheels. The rest, including the interior, should look the same as in the current version. Ford will introduce several new features including passive keyless entry, engine start-stop button and engine auto-start-stop. In addition to improved convenience, the new model should offer higher fuel economy.
Internationally, Ford plans to introduce the facelifted Ford Everest with the following four diesel engines:
- 2.2L TDCi 150 PS/375 Nm
- 2.0L TDCi 180 PS/420 Nm
- 3.2L TDCi 200 PS/470 Nm
- 2.0L TDCi Bi-Turbo 213 PS/500 Nm
Two new diesel engines with a 2.0-litre displacement are on the way, while the 2.2L diesel engine’s maximum power and maximum torque are set to go down 10 PS and 10 Nm respectively. A new 10-speed automatic transmission is incoming with the mid-cycle refresh. It is safe to assume the range-topping 213 PS 2.0L diesel engine model will launch with this transmission. Ford may offer the new Bi-Turbo engine and 10-speed AT in a first-ever rugged Raptor variant. The 6-speed automatic transmission option will continue. Ford India will then have new configurations to select from, though there is no confirmation that Endeavour lineup will change.
The 2018 Ford Everest is expected to launch in Thailand before June.
