2018 Bajaj Dominar 400 (Modenas Dominar D400) launched in Malaysia

Bajaj Auto’s partner company in Malaysia, Modenas has launched the 2018 Modenas Dominar D400 (Bajaj Dominar 400) in the country at an introductory ex-showroom price of MYR 14,615, including GST.

The 2018 Modenas Dominar D400 is available in four colour variants: Red, White, Blue, and Matte Black. The motorcycle comes with two-year/24,000 km warranty with the first five services being complimentary. The motorcycle features a power-cruiser-like design, with all-LED lighting system and digital instrument console.

Powering the 2018 Bajaj Dominar 400 is a 373.3 cc single cylinder DTS-I engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The powerplant makes 36 PS at 8,000 rpm, and 35 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm; pairing with a six-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch. The stamped perimeter frame suspends on 43 mm telescopic forks and a rear Nitrox monoshock. Bringing the motorcycle to a halt are a 320 mm front and 230 mm rear disc. The brakes feature dual-channel ABS as standard. The 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with 110-section front and 150-section rear radial tyres.

The chief competitors of the motorcycle in the country include Kawasaki Z300, KTM 390 Duke and BMW G 310 R, Royal Enfield Classic and Rumbler 500.
