Electric Royal Enfield Classic 500 spotted front right quarter
A custom-made electric Royal Enfield Classic was spotted in Thailand last year. It is unknown how the company-developed electric bike will look like.

The initiative will help the brand adapt to the changing market, which is slowly moving towards electric mobility solutions. Speaking to the news site, Rudratej Singh, President, Royal Enfield said:

We are working on various projects. Electric platform is one of the projects, where we have a large number of team working towards this. At the right time and at the right place, we will announce our plan.

Singh also added that the brand will make sure it remains relevant by listening to and being connected with the community. While the technical aspects are unknown as of now, expect the bikes to carry a vintage demeanour while using zero-emission powertrain. Apart from this, it was reported in November last year that the brand is working on three new platforms and that one or two of them will replace the existing ones when tighter emission norms come into effect.
