After multiple leaks last year, the Nissan Terra is finally officially out now. The Nissan Terra is the successor to the Nissan Paladin, which is widely known as the Nissan Xterra.

The Nissan Terra is the successor to the Nissan Paladin.

The Terra is based on the third-gen Nissan Navara, and this fact is evident in the design. There are some clear differentiators at the front, though, such as a more sophisticated headlamp design, updated V-motion front grille, larger lower air intake and distinctive bumpers with a more muscular design. The rear-end is obviously different and features horizontal wraparound tail lamps. The interior looks identical to that of the pickup truck.

The Nissan Terra is 4,885 mm long, 1,865 mm wide and 1,835 mm tall. It has a 2,850 mm wheelbase. Under the hood, there’s the QR25 135 kW (184 PS) 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic transmission. Select configurations will have a 4WD system.

The Nissan Terra’s production will take place at the Zhengzhou Nissan JV factory in China. Its world premiere will take place at Auto China 2018 (2018 Beijing Motor Show) in April. China will get the Ford Everest (Ford Endeavour) rival first, this April. Other Asian markets will get the 7-seat SUV soon after.
