The Hyundai Santa Fe will move to its fourth generation with the next lifecycle makeover. The new generation model will have comprehensive design changes in line with the brand's new design direction for SUVs set by the Hyundai Kona. The mid-size SUV’s front-end will incorporate the signature Cascading grille with a mesh pattern and feature a twin headlamp setup created by slim LED DRLs on the top and LED headlights on the bottom. At the rear, the next-gen model will have newly designed LED tail lamps.

Like the third-gen Hyundai Santa Fe, the fourth-gen Hyundai Santa Fe will have two-row and three-row versions. The latter, currently offering up to seven seats, will reportedly grow to accommodate eight passengers. The current Santa Fe is available with 2.4L MPi, 2.4L GDi, 3.3L MPi and 3.3L GDi petrol engines and 2.0L CRDi and 2.2L CRDi diesel engines. Along with upgraded versions of some of these, the Hyundai could offer a new 2.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine in the next-gen Santa Fe.
