The second-gen Hyundai i20 will receive a minor refresh this year. IAB’s digital artist Shoeb Kalania has created a rendering to preview the updated design of the car’s rear-end.

The 2018 Hyundai i20’s rendering has incorporated changes seen on the test mules spotted during road testing. The new tail lamps are inspired by those of the third-gen Hyundai i30. The tailgate has a new design and houses the license plate, which is located on the bumper in the pre-facelift model. The new rear bumper has a more aggressive design and new light reflectors sans fog lamp/reverse light.

At the front, the 2018 Hyundai i20 will feature the Cascading grille, the company’s new signature design element. Spy shots suggest that the fog lamps, bumper and lower grille too will have a new look. Inside, the new i20 should have reduced number of buttons on the flanks of the touchscreen infotainment system and chrome trim on the central air vents.

The new Hyundai i20 is likely to have the same engine and transmission choices.
