The Yamaha Spark 135 was spotted at the Madras Motor Race Track during the Apache RR 310 ride event. The step-thru scooter was also known as the T135, and was sold in ASEAN region. The scooter was launched in October 2005, in the Indonesian market first, followed by Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Powering the Yamaha Spark 135 is a 134.4 cc SOHC engine with liquid cooling. It made 11.4 PS of power at 8,500 rpm, and 11.65 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine worked in tandem with a rotary type 4-speed gearbox with centrifugal clutch. In 2008, the Japanese brand launched a fuel injected version. In 2011, Yamaha updated the scooter with a 5-speed manual transmission, which is the one seen in the images here. In 2016, Yamaha discontinued the manual version and brought in the T-150.

With the diamond type frame, the scooter has a 45% front and 55% rear weight distribution.

The Spark 135 employs a diamond type frame that holds the front telescopic fork and the rear monocross suspension. Brakes include a single disc at the front and drum brake at the rear. The front fender seems to be missing in the scooter, and it also features a race number sticker. The reason behind the scooter’s presence at the track is unclear. However, judging by the lack of number plates, it is likely that the scooter is only used within the track premises. Yamaha is not likely to bring the scooter to the Indian market.
