Along with the sporty Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, Mitsubishi displayed the rugged Mitsubishi Montero Sport at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show.
The Mitsubishi Montero Sport is 4,785 mm long, 1,815 mm wide and 1,800 mm tall. It has a 2,800 mm wheelbase and a 218 mm ground clearance. It is available in 5- and 7-seat seating layouts in the UAE. The 6N31 3.0-litre MIVEC petrol engine is standard. The Euro 2-compliant engine produces 161 kW (215.82 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 285 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard, while the Super Select 4WD-II four-wheel drive system is optional.
LED headlamps with LED DRLs, 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels and LED rear combination lamps are the key exterior features of the Mitsubishi Montero Sport. Interior highlights include dual-zone automatic climate control, double-DIN audio system with 6.1-inch QVGA touchscreen display, beige leather seats, sunroof, power sliding and dual height and reclining functions for the driver’s seat. A slew of safety and driver assistance technologies are available, including Ultrasonic misacceleration Mitigation System, Forward Collision Mitigation System, Blind Spot Warning, Hill Start Assist, Active Stability and Traction Control, 7 airbags, parking sensors and reverse camera.
The Mitsubishi Montero Sport is available in the UAE in GLX 2WD, M 2WD, GLS 4WD, H 4WD and Premium 4WD configurations. Prices of the tough SUV start at AED 79,900 (INR 14,04,339.51).
