The new QX80 showcases the latest iteration of Infiniti's 'Powerful Elegance' design language. Replacing the smooth, rounded curves of the outgoing model are more angular lines and a more upright nose. The headlamps now sit higher in line with the top of the grille. The vents on the front fenders have been redone as well. Towards the rear, the tail lights feature new LED graphics and the number plate chrome applique now runs into them.

Changes to the cabin are minimal. There's a new steering wheel on offer along with revised colour schemes. The seats, door panels, and armrests wrapped in perforated and quilted leather. Updates to the on board tech come in the form of bigger 8-inch screens for the rear seat occupants supporting 31 languages. Infiniti's InTouch infotainment system has also been updated offering a revised interface with higher customisability.

A 5.6 L V8 powers the massive SUV. It produces 400 hp and 413 lb ft of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 7-speed automatic transmission. Buyers can choose the Infiniti QX80 in rear wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.

Christian Meunier, Infiniti Global Division Vice President said -

The new INFINITI QX80 has been designed and engineered to allow customers to travel everywhere in luxury. It strengthens the brand’s position in the global full-size SUV segment, which currently accounts for more than half of all full-size luxury car sales around the world. The new model will further enhance our profile in an area of the market that prizes modern exterior design, high-tech cabins engineered for relaxation, and effortless, empowering performance. The fact that we held the global reveal in Dubai reinforces the strategic importance of the Middle East for INFINITI.
