UM Renegade Commando Classic & UM Renegade Commando Mojave deliveries commence

The deliveries of the UM Renegade Commando Classic and the UM Renegade Commando Mojave have commenced in the country.

UM Lohia two-wheelers had launched the UM Renegade Commando Classic and the UM Renegade Commando Mojave in September. The former costs INR 1.89 lakhs, while the latter is priced at INR 1.80 lakhs, both ex-showroom Delhi. The bookings had begun after its launch last month, and the deliveries have commenced from September end.

The UM Renegade Commando Classic is currently the flagship of the brand. Showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, the bike comes with touring-friendly equipment like premium saddlebag and tank cover, polycarbonate windshield, highway engine guards and alloy backrest. The bike is available in two shades- Copper Cream & Candy Metallic Glossy Black.

The Renegade Commando Mojave draws inspiration from North America’s largest desert, the Mojave Desert. The motorcycle features a desert coloured matte paint, Mojave Desert logos and fuel tank zippered cell phone pouch. The bike also gets saddlebag; premium seat covers, backrest and crash guard.

Powering the two motorcycles is a 279.5 cc single cylinder engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The powerplant gives out 25.15 PS of power at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 23 Nm at 7,000 rpm. Transferring the power is a six-speed gearbox. 41 mm telescopic front forks and twin rear hydraulic shock absorbers handle the suspension responsibilities.

Brakes include a 280 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum. The bikes weigh 179 kg and get an 18-litre fuel tank & Service Alert Maintenance feature as well. The two motorcycles lock horns with the Royal Enfield Thunderbird in the budget cruiser segment.
