Benelli Q.J. has launched the 2018 Benelli Leoncino in Malaysia at a price of RM 29,678, inclusive of GST. Insurance, road tax, registration are extra.
The neo retro scrambler draws power from a 499.6cc in-line two cylinder DOHC engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. It is capable of developing 47.5 PS of power at 8,500 rpm and 45 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The Euro 4 engine pairs with a 6-speed transmission. Benelli has derived the powerplant from the TRK 502.
The cycle parts of the Benelli Leoncino include 50 mm upside down front forks; and a preload and rebound-adjustable rear monoshock. For anchorage, the Leoncino employs dual 320 mm discs at the front, with 4-piston radial callipers. The rear comes with a single 260 mm disc with a single piston calliper. Both brakes have ABS as standard. The 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels are shod with 120-section at the front and 160-section at the rear.
The lighting systems are all-LED, and the instrumentation is fully digital as well. The motorcycle comes with a 2-year/ 20,000 km warranty. Leoncino Red and Vulcan Black are the two colour options available. The bike will hit the showrooms by the end of this year. Benelli launched the Benelli RFS150i in the country in April, this year. As a part of the brand’s expansion plans, Benelli will also be showcasing multiple new models at the upcoming 2017 EICMA in November.
