Hero MotoCorp clocks 75 million unit cumulative sales – Report

Hero MotoCorp has clocked over 75 million units in cumulative sales, reports PTI. The company plans to cross a sales figure of 100 million units by 2020.

Hero MotoCorp has sold 75 million two-wheelers so far, and plans to reach 100 million by 2020.

Speaking to the news agency, a senior official from Hero MotoCorp commented:

We have crossed the significant milestone of 75 million units in cumulative sales and will be rewarding our customers for reposing their faith and trust on our products and service. The 75 million sales milestone is in line with Hero's vision of surpassing 100 million two-wheelers in cumulative sales by 2020. We have just rolled out a product-specific strategy for each region, comprising innovative customer engagement programmes and communication initiatives targeting clearly- identified consumer groups.

The official also added that the brand is looking to achieve double-digit growth year-on-year, this festive season. The person stated that during the Ganesh Chaturthi season, the brand’s retail sales grew by 25 percent in Maharashtra. This includes key cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Kolhapur, Solapur, and Aurangabad. As a part of the brand’s strategy for this festive season, it has also signed up as the national supporter of the 2017 FIFA U-17 football World Cup; which will be held next month.

The brand has sold six-lakh-plus units consecutively for the fourth month in August.

In August, the company sold 678,797 units – the highest ever sales in a month. This month, the company is looking forward to reaching greater heights by announcing special festive offers for its two-wheelers in celebration of the 75 million unit sales.
