With the lifecycle makeover, the Dacia Duster has entered its second generation now. The new generation Duster features an evolutionary design with a more contemporary front and rear. The design is not a giant leap from the previous model, thanks to largely similar proportions which make the SUV look instantly recognisable. Sleeker headlamps with LED DRLs, more prominent front and rear skid plates, 17-inch alloy wheels and new aluminium roof bars are some of the exterior highlights. There are two new colour choices: Atacama Orange and Dune Beige.

The 2018 Dacia Duster features a far more modern interior. The fully redesigned cabin is more driver-focused and more practical. New four-spoke steering wheel, new instrument panel, new centre console housing a higher-positioned 7-inch MediaNav Evolution infotainment system, new piano key type controls, three middle air vents and three rotary controls matching them for the automatic climate control and newly designed seats with improved lateral support and durability are the key changes here.

The 2018 Dacia Duster is 4.3 metres long, 1.8 metres wide and offers a ground clearance of 210 mm. It has approach and departure angles of 30 and 33 degrees respectively. There are five engine options, two petrol, two diesel and one LPG. SCe 115 and TCe 125 are the petrol options and dCi 90 and dCi 110 are the diesel options. The SCe 115 engine has a LPG-compliant version.

As before, the Duster is available with manual and EDC automatic transmissions, in 2WD and 4WD. Noteworthy safety and driver assistance features include automatic headlights, multi-view camera, Blind Spot Warning, Hill Descent Control, Hill Start Assist and curtain airbags. In addition, there's a 4x4 monitor, which allows the driver to see the vehicle's angle in real time. It has an in-built compass too.

The 2018 Dacia Duster will go on sale in the UK in mid-2018. Romania and other first markets may get the all-new model in early 2018, though.
