The TVS Jupiter Classic Edition was launched in the country yesterday at INR 55,266, ex-showroom, Delhi. The scooter features various additions that enhance the looks and give it a retro appeal.

The Jupiter Classic Edition is the least expensive 'retro' scooter, beating the Suzuki Access 125 Special Edition by a small margin.

The scooter sports a unique body colour called ‘Sunlit Ivory’, with special ‘Classic’ decals. The front fender is adorned with a chromed ornament to give it a classic look. The dual-tone seats are ribbed with premium stitching. The floorboard panels are finished in exclusive ‘Silver Oak’. The most notable addition is the windshield.

The handlebar dampeners are finished in chrome. The scooter also gets round fully-chromed rear-view mirrors for added retro feel. The pillion grab handle is finished in chrome and gets a cushioned backrest with ‘Jupiter’ branding. The underseat storage comes with a smart USB charger which is handy for charging mobile phones.

Another noteworthy feature is the 220 mm front disc brake. The rear uses a 130 mm drum. Sync braking system links both and enhances the braking performance. The instrument cluster features redesigned dials called ‘Classic Dial Art’. It features TVS’ patented Econometer which guides the riders in both ‘Eco’ and ‘Power’ mode. It is also equipped with a low fuel light apart from the fuel gauge. The claimed mileage stands at 62 kmpl. Mechanically, the Classic Edition is the same as the normal Jupiter.

Earlier TVS Motor had launched the Jupiter MillionR edition to commemorate 10 lakh customers of the Jupiter. With the launch of the Classic Edition, the total variants now stand at four, with prices starting from INR 49,766 ex-showroom, Delhi for the base variant.
