The SAIC Maxus D90, called the LDV D90 in Australia, utilises the same ladder-frame chassis for its basis as the T60 pickup. The Maxus D90 is 5,005 mm long, 1,932 mm wide and 1,875 mm tall, and has a 2,950 mm-long wheelbase. SAIC Maxus calls it a "full-size intelligent customisable SUV", and almost rightly so. It is large, although not as big as an actual full-size Cadillac Escalade, and has many clever features and a variety of customisation options.

360-degree camera, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Autonomous Emergency Braking are among the technologies in the D90. Besides, the 'intelligent-connected' system jointly developed by SAIC Motor and Alibaba Group, accessed via the 12.3-inch dash-top screen, enables functions such as auto payments, online music, online navigation, remote control, voice interaction, and interaction with sports cameras, drones and balance bikes. Customisation options include nine exterior colours, four radiator grilles, ten wheel choices with sizes ranging from 17-21 inch, three interior colour schemes and a selection of exhaust tips.
