Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP - GIIAS 2017 Live

Honda has showcased its flagship litre-class track tamer, the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP at the 2017 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. Powering the Fireblade is a 999 cc in-line four liquid-cooled DOHC engine. It punches out 191.7 PS of power at 13,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm. The engine works in tandem with a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch. The instrument cluster is a race-spec TFT LCD unit.

Honda has built the bike with a diamond-type aluminium composite twin spar frame.  For the suspension, the bike uses semi-active 43 mm Ohlins NIX30 SmartEC front fork. It offers preload, compression and rebound adjustments. The rear uses an Ohlins Unit ProLink with a gascharged TTX36 SmartEC damper. This unit features preload, compression, and rebound damping adjustment.

The fuel tank capacity stands at 16 litres and the bike tips the scales at 195 kg, kerb. Other notable features include a quick-shifter for seamless shifting, LED headlamp, and a titanium muffler.

The SP edition gets top-of-the-line Brembo brakes with cornering ABS. The onboard electronic wizardry includes Rear Lift Control (RLC), 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit, wheelie control, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). There are multiple levels of riding modes as well, apart from a three-level engine braking control.
