The Nissan Kicks was launched in Brazil in August 2016 and its availability is expanding to more markets. In the latest, a test mule of the Nissan Kicks was spied alongside the Toyota C-HR in Taiwan, courtesy U-CAR. The Kicks' launch plan for this market is currently unknown.
The Nissan Kicks is Nissan's B-SUV for the emerging markets and competes with the Hyundai Creta (Hyundai ix25), Toyota C-HR, and the Honda HR-V. Unveiling the small SUV last year, Nissan said that it plans to launch Kicks in 80 countries. It measures 4,295 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width and 1,590 mm in height, has a wheelbase of 2,620 mm and offers a ground clearance of 200 mm. It is based on a version of the company's V platform.
The Nissan Kicks is powered by the HR16DE 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission. The output figures differ with the market, but in Brazil, where the engine is Ethanol-compliant, the maximum power and maximum torque are 114 cv (114 hp) at 5,600 rpm and 15.5 kgf.m (152.00 Nm) of torque at 4,000 rpm.
17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps with LED signature, 7-inch full-colour driver information display, push-button start, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, leather steering wheel, leather seats and Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection are some of the key features of the Nissan Kicks.

The Nissan Kicks will reportedly go on sale in India in Q3 2018. Nissan hasn't made an announcement, but its possible that it would use Auto Expo 2018 to generate customer interest and gather feedback for firming up launch plans. Unlike the global version, the Indian-spec version will sit on the Renault Duster's platform.
