The 2017 Honda CR-V will sell in two models in China: 240TURBO and Hybrid.

Based on the Honda Civic's platform, the 2017 Honda CR-V measures 4,584 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width and 1,679 mm (2WD)/1,689 mm (4WD) in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,660 mm. It will sell in two models in China: 240TURBO and Hybrid. The CR-V 240TURBO will get the 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that produces 193 hp and 240 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via a continuously variable transmission.

China is the first market to get the Honda CR-V Hybrid. The electrified variant is powered by the Honda Sport Hybrid i-MMD (Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive) two-motor hybrid system. Honda hasn't released details about the powertrain, but from the Accord Hybrid, we know that the system consists of a 2.0-litre petrol engine working in conjunction with two electric motors to produce a system output of 212 hp. Honda may have tuned the powertrain for a slightly different output in the CR-V.

LED headlights, Active Shutter Grille, LED daytime running lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, electric tailgate, keyless entry with push-button start, 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electric park brake with automatic brake hold, LaneWatch blind spot camera and multi-angle reversing camera are the equipment highlights of the 2017 Honda CR-V.

While Honda Cars India has not confirmed plans for the CR-V, an earlier report said it would launch in India in Q3 2017. As in Thailand, Honda could bring down the 7-seat seating configuration and the 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel to make it a stronger contender in the segment.
