Maruti has received 33,000 bookings for the 2017 Maruti Dzire

At the launch of the 2017 Maruti Dzire, Mr RS Kalsi, Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki has divulged to the media that the company has already received 33,000 bookings for the new sedan since bookings were opened last month.

For now, the new Dzire will only be produced at Maruti's Manesar factory.

Initial deliveries will commence today, and there is already an eight week waiting period for the new Dzire, although Mr Kalsi reassures that the company can meet predicted market demand. For now, the new Dzire will only be produced at Maruti's Manesar factory, but Suzuki's factory in Gujarat will be the next site to make this vehicle.

Maruti has launched the new Dzire at prices ranging between INR 5.45 Lakhs - INR 9.41 Lakhs (ex-showroom). At launch, it is available in four grades: L, V, Z, Z+, spread across 14 variants. It is available in both petrol and diesel variants, which are powered a 1.2-litre four-cylinder VVT petrol engine and 1.3-litre four-cylinder DDiS turbodiesel engine, respectively. Both variants can be equipped with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AGS (AMT) and can average a fuel mileage of 22 km/l (petrol) and 28.4 km/l (diesel).

Some of the noteworthy features of the sub-4m sedan include LED headlamps with DRLs, fog lamps, 15-inch diamond cut alloy rims, keyless entry, LED-powered pilot lamps for taillights, chrome window underline, automatic climate control, 7-inch Smartplay screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a rear AC vent.
