KTM has introduced the 2017 KTM Duke 200 and the 2017 KTM RC390 in Nepal. The bikes are in the same exact spec as the Indian model. Bookings have commenced, and deliveries will be made based on unit availability.
2017 KTM Duke 200
KTM Duke 200 uses a 199.5 cc single cylinder mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 25 PS of maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. The bike does not get ride by wire or slipper clutch and is suspended on upside down forks in the front and a monoshock in the rear, both by WP.
Brakes in the 2017 KTM Duke 200 include a 300 mm disc up front and a 230 mm unit in the rear. ABS is not on offer. The orange backlit instrumentation remains the same, and the headlamp is a halogen unit.
The 2017 KTM Duke 200 has been priced at NPR 444,900 (ex-showroom, Kathmandu).
2017 KTM RC200
Powering the 2017 KTM RC200 is the same 199.5 cc mill as the naked Duke 200. The bike is slightly heavier at 154 kg. Changes from the 2016 model include new colour option and 12 mm of extra padding on the pillion seats. Tyres too have been sourced from MRF.
The exhaust remains the same underbelly unit but is BSIV compliant which is the new government emission norms prescribed in India where these bikes are built and shipped from.
The 2017 KTM RC390 has been priced at NPR 529,900 (ex-showroom, Kathmandu).
