Expected to launch in March in Brazil.

Honda Brazil has released new technical details on the WR-V crossover for the Brazilian market, ahead of its planned launch in March. It is Honda's entry-level crossover that slots below the HR-V and speculated to cost BRL 78,000.

Although it is based on the Honda Fit (Honda Jazz) and is a replacement of the Honda Fit Twist, the Japanese manufacturer is trying to market the WR-V as an entirely different product. The front-end is distinctively styled and features robust-looking body cladding, larger rims, bolder grille garnished with chrome and roof rails. Honda has raised the height by 50 mm, thus offering a ground clearance of 190 mm.

Inside, the cabin looks mostly identical to the Honda Fit, save for the dual tone fabric upholstery with brown contrast stitching and brown fabric door cards. Like the Fit, the WR-V also gets Magic Seats and a 363L boot volume. It does not, however, get the touch-sensitive automatic climate control or push button start.

Under the hood is a 1.5L i-VTEC Flex four-cylinder engine paired with an Earthdreams CVT, which sends power only to the front wheels. It produces 116 hp and 15.3 kg.m of peak torque.
