The PSA Group announced in June 2016 that the Citroen C84 would hit the markets within 18 months, suggesting a late-2017 launch for the vehicle. The French auto giant will manufacture the new compact SUV in Rennes, France, alongside the Peugeot 5008 and the Citroen E-Mehari. The Chinese-spec version’s production may take place locally in Chengdu, alongside the Peugeot 4008.
