The Hyundai Xcent will complete three years in the Indian market next month, and Hyundai is readying a facelift to smarten it. Based on spy shots, automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania has created a speculative rendering of the 2017 Hyundai Xcent to preview its updated rear fascia.

The 2017 Hyundai Xcent will have new, 2017 Hyundai Accent-inspired wraparound tail lamps.

As much as the front, the rear of the Hyundai Xcent will also be revised with the facelift. The front-end is expected to have changes similar to that of the 2017 Hyundai Grand i10, including new Cascading grille and redesigned fog lamps with LED daytime running light strips, while the changes to the profile will include new design alloy wheel/wheel cover.

At the rear, the most notable change will be the wraparound tail lamps that give the car the styling of a proper sedan. The 2017 Hyundai Xcent will feature a redesigned boot lid with chrome applique and spoiler, and a revised rear bumper. On the inside, the car would gain a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink for smartphone integration, and voice control with a dedicated button for that function on the steering wheel.

Hyundai U2 CRDi engine
The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 diesel will be powered by the new 1.2-litre U2 CRDi three-cylinder unit that produces 75 PS at 4,000 rpm and 19.4 kgm (190.25 Nm) of torque.
