Features new bumper designs, touchscreen infotainment system and new 1.2L diesel.

Hyundai India launched the facelifted Hyundai Grand i10 yesterday at prices ranging between INR 4.58 Lakhs - INR 7.33 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). It arrives nearly four years after the launch of the Grand i10 nameplate.

Here's a brief pictorial comparison between the new Grand i10 and the outgoing model.

Exterior:

The new Grand i10 sources most of the changes seen in the Euro-spec i10, which received the same facelift late last year. The front fascia incorporates Hyundai’s new Cascading hexagonal, redesigned fog lamps with LED DRL strips (in top-end models), and air curtains similar to the Hyundai Elantra.

At the side, the new Grand i10 Asta gets roof rails, chrome door handles and new 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, while the rear-end sports dual tone bumper with round reflectors on either side and a spoiler.

Interior:

Inside, the new Grand i10 retains the dual tone beige and black colour combination with chrome and silver accents and dual-tone fabric seat upholstery.

What's different is the equipment on offer. The 2017 Grand i10 Sportz(O) and Asta come with a new 7-inch touchscreen system with reverse parking camera, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the Sportz grade gets a smaller 5-inch touchscreen audio system with Bluetooth. The Asta also features an automatic climate control system sourced from the Xcent as standard, which was previously unavailable.

Engine Lineup:

The petrol variant has retained the 1.2L four-cylinder Kappa engine with 83 PS and 11.6 kg.m of peak torque, while the diesel variant debuts a new 1.2L three-cylinder U2 CRDi diesel engine producing 75 PS and 19.4 kg.m of torque; 4 PS and 30 Nm more torque than the outgoing 1.1L unit.

Both variants are fitted with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, while a 4-speed automatic is exclusive to the 1.2 petrol.
