The new 2017 Honda City will launch for sale tomorrow in India, with dealer yards across India already populated with the updated model.

Honda Cars India has made LED DRLs as standard in all variants of the City, while LED headlamps are equipped in the VX and ZX grades. In addition, the Honda City ZX also exclusively gets LED taillamps and a boot-mounted spoiler with stop light. All models will share the cosmetic changes, which appear to be inspired by the 10th gen Honda Civic.

Inside, the new City V, VX and ZX come equipped with a push button start/stop as well as a new 7-inch DIGIPAD touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and reverse parking camera, while VX and ZX feature leather seat upholstery, soft-touch dashboard, leather steering wheel, and electric sunroof. As for safety, the new Honda City will offer ABS+EBD, dual airbags, engine immobiliser and ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard across all modes. The ZX grade gets 6 airbags: driver passenger and side & curtains airbags.

The new City will continue with the same 1.5L i-VTEC petrol and 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engines. The former is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission (17.4 km/L mileage) or a 7-step continuously variable transmission (with paddles in VX and ZX grades; 18.0 km/L), and the diesel is linked to a 6-speed manual transmission (25.6 km/L mileage).
