Bajaj V aims to immortalize the legacy of the INS Vikrant, the hero of the Bangladesh Liberation War.

Bajaj Auto has introduced the Bajaj V15 in Bangladesh via its partner Uttara Motors. Essentially a premium commuter, the Bajaj V will hold a certain level of emotional connect with the people of Bangladesh due to the indispensable role played by INS Vikrant in the 1971 Liberation War.

The Bajaj V15 is powered by a 149.5 cc mill producing 12 PS of maximum power and 13 Nm of peak torque.

The Bajaj V houses a piece of metal from the INS Vikrant in its fuel tank. The powertrain is a 149.5 cc single cylinder, air cooled, SOHC mill coupled to a 5 speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 12 PS of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 13 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The Bajaj V will be assembled in Bangladesh.

The bike is suspended over 33 mm telescopic forks in the front and twin spring hydraulic (gas filled) shock absorbers in the rear. The front gets an 18-inch wheel with 90/90 profile tyre and the rear gets a 16-inch wheel with 120/80 profile tyre. The Bajaj V15 tips the scales at 135.5 kg and has a ground clearance of 165 mm.

The Bajaj V measures 2,044 mm in length, 780 mm in width and 1,070 mm in width. The Bajaj V15 is soon to be joined by a 125 cc variant in India, which in time can also be seen to be sold in the Bangladeshi market.

Priced at BDT 177,500 the Bajaj V15 will be assembled in Bangladesh.

The Bajaj V15 in Bangladesh carries a price tag of BDT 177,500 (INR 1.48 lakhs).
