Bajaj Auto took the INR 1 lakh to INR 2 lakhs price segment with reborn vigour with the launch of the Bajaj Dominar 400. Starting at INR 1.36 lakhs for the non ABS trim, it creates a new definition for the term value for money, given that the Pulsar RS 200 ABS version costs INR 1.33 lakhs.

The Bajaj Dominar is the first Indian built motorcycle which gets an LED headlamp. Following the upcoming government mandate the bike gets Auto Headlamp On (AHO) feature. The taillamps are LED as well. The Ducati Diavel inspiration continues with the split instrumentation, one on top of the headlamp and the other on top of the fuel tank.

The handlebar is low and will help the rider have a commanding view of the front. Anchors are dropped by a single 320 mm disc up front and 230 mm unit in the rear. Dual channel ABS is available as an option. The Bajaj Dominar 400 gets a 13 litre fuel tank.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 is shod with 43 mm telescopic forks up front and an mono shock in the rear with presets. The perimeter frame has been made of pressed high strength steel. The powertrain is a 373.3 cc single cylinder, triple spark mill coupled with a 6 speed gearbox, and a slipper clutch. The engine is based on the KTM Duke 390 and is capable of producing 35 PS of maximum power and 35 Nm of peak torque.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by a 373.3 cc triple spark DTS-i mill which is capable of producing 35 PS of maximum power and 35 Nm of peak torque.

Bookings for the Dominar has commenced and deliveries will begin in January 2017.
