As reported earlier, the Royal Enfield Himalayan was present at the Melbourne Moto Expo last week and shared the stage with the Classic, Bullet and Continental GT. Royal Enfield claims that the Himalayan paves the way for a purer, non-extreme and more accessible form of adventure touring for Australians.

The bike gets 21-inch wheels in the front while the 17 inch rear gives the bike traction. The half duplex, split cradle frame chassis has been developed by Harris Performance.

The engine is the 411 cc Long Stroke mill churning out 24.5 PS of maximum power at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque in the range of 4,000 to 4,500 rpm. The fuel-air mixture continues to be guided via a carburettor. The front wheel gets 300 mm disc with 2 piston floating callipers while the rear gets a 240 mm disc with a single piston floating calliper.
